Are there any contraindications to receiving reiki?

Reiki is perfectly safe to receive and always works towards the highest good of the recipient. There are no side-effects or contraindications known. If you are diabetic, your blood sugar levels may fluctuate a little after treatment so just monitor them as usual.

What can I expect to experience during a reiki treatment?

When receiving a reiki treatment, I perform a treatment using a series of standard hand positions. This includes the shoulders, temples, crown, face, throat, heart chakra and solar plexus region, upper leg, knees and ankles.

Physical contact will be made with the shoulders, upper leg, knees and ankles. If you would prefer to not have contact made with these areas, please let me know before the start of the treatment. 

Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?

Reiki is a complimentary therapy and can provide very effective support for individuals who have a chronic illness but reiki should never be a substitute for a medical diagnosis or subsequent treatment. Please refer to your GP in all instances where you need medical attention.

How do I pay?

All payments are either via bank transfer or with PayPal which are paid in full before the session or course begins. An invoice with the necessary details will be sent to your email address.

What is the difference between a remote reiki treatment and reiki distant healing?

Please note there is a very clear difference between remote reiki treatments and reiki distant healing:

In a remote reiki treatment, the reiki practitioner channels energy via intention to the areas where it is needed most by visualising and channeling energy via the standard hand positions (as it would be carried out in person). The reiki practitioner directly accesses the client’s energy field for the same amount of time (Usually up to 60 minutes). 

Reiki distant healing is sent in a more general way (similar to a prayer) with the intention that it will work for the highest good of the person requesting.
